The mission of the LGBTQ Bar Association of Maryland is to advance equality, inclusion, and justice in Maryland’s legal profession and communities by connecting, supporting, and advocating for LGBTQ+ lawyers, judges, law students, and allies across the state.

We fulfill this mission by:

• Promoting professional growth, mentorship, and coalition-building;
• Educating the public and legal community about issues affecting LGBTQ+ individuals;
• Advocating for equitable laws and policies that protect and uplift LGBTQ+ communities;
• Fostering a strong, diverse, and empowered legal community; and
• Striving to ensure that Maryland’s legal system embodies fairness, dignity, and respect for every identity.
